DNA Research Group is a part of Laboratory of Botany and Biotechnology, Biology Department, FMIPA, University of Jember. Established in the beginning of 2018, our group focused on the utilization of DNA as a tool for detection, identification and modification of biological materials. On April 2018, University of Jember through LP2M creates Kelompok Riset (KeRis) program to supports any research group with regular funding for research activities. In KeRis program, our group registered as DNA SAKTI (DNA Sequence Authenticity as Key determinant for Tropical plants of Indonesia). As illustrated in our name, the main project of this group is DNA barcoding for tropical plants. Instead of barcoding, we also provide other research topics which are available for students (undergraduate and graduate) for completing their final duty getting the degree. In brief, our research topics are: 1) DNA Barcoding, 2) Functional Genomics and Physiology, 3) DNA Manipulation, and 4) Pathogen Detection. Further details about our activities, you may visit our laboratory at Microbiology building 2nd floor FMIPA, University of Jember.
